Congress, with the support of the Administration is looking to curb spending in 2011 by cutting $100 million from the Emergency Food and Shelter Program. A budget cut of this magnitude (50%) weakens the EFSP and impacts communities nationwide. In lieu of our current fiscal environment, many programs cannot avoid some level of funding cuts.
